  Hello my name is Steven Williams and I recently had hip surgery on my right hip which was performed by Dr. Carl Freeman at the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. Regarding my surgery, I’ll start from the beginning. Seven years ago I was in a very serious car accident where I dislocated and fractured my right hip. For the last seven years I have battled with severe pain and discomfort. About two years ago the pain and discomfort was getting to the point where it was a struggle for me to do my daily activities such as work or ride a bike. I went to a hip specialist at a different facility in Jacksonville and after numerous appointments I never saw the doctor. Through his PA all they wanted to do was give me paid injections. I was referred to Dr. Carl Freeman at JOI. Immediately I felt very comfortable with Dr. Freeman. He immediately scheduled a surgery within 30 days. It has now been three weeks since I’ve had my surgery and my hip has never felt so good in the last seven years. Immediately when I woke up from the surgery and I was in the recovery room I had no more pain in my back no more pain behind my leg. The only pain that I felt was from the surgery. I was also prescribed pain medication to take as needed. I only needed two pain pills within the first 24 hours. I can’t express my gratitude and thankfulness enough to Dr. Freeman and his staff for the good work that he had done. Actually I believe he was a blessing. I have already made numerous recommendations to people. Thank you again to Dr. Freeman and his staff at JOI.
