g cause by a large calcium deposit that had formed in on my rotator cuff. It had grown over the last year so we decided to go with surgery to remove it. He expected a recovery of 4-6 months to get mostly better, but 100% would likely be longer than that. When he got into the shoulder and removed all the calcium, my rotator cuff ended up being in pretty good shape so he closed it up. I had most of my range of motion within a couple weeks, and after 4 weeks I was pretty much back to 100%. I’ve been taking it easy on working out, but the pain is gone and the recovery was way better than we were expecting. He did a great job cleaning up the calcium without damaging the rotator cuff. I am so thankful that I ended up at the JOI for my shoulder. The first visit was purely convenience because they could get me in for an appointment before other offices. But after my experience with them over the last year or so I know I will only go to the JOI for joint issues. The staff has always been really pleasant and they get me in and out really quickly.
